No one can appreciate Buffalo quite like Buffalonians do, but tourists to the Queen City just might be onto something themselves. We've scoured the top attractions that out-of-towners frequent when they visit the 716, and the results are far from boring. Here are nine "tourist traps" in Buffalo that even locals can love.
1. Canalside
Canalside is a year-round destination in Buffalo, and while this spot is popular with tourists, it's equally as adored by locals. Don't let the term "tourist trap" scare you away - this place is certainly worthy of your time!
Address: 44 Prime St.
2. Darwin D. Martin House
This tourist destination is full of history, and while educational attractions might be a turnoff for some, we promise this one isn't boring!

3. Maid of the Mist
We know this one isn't technically IN Buffalo, but Niagara Falls is so close and this touristy ride is worth the trip! Don't knock it until you try it for yourself. Once you feel the mist and get up close and personal with the power of the falls, you'll be hooked!

For those who enjoy a bit of exercise, Water Bikes of Buffalo are one thing we can agree with tourists on. These unique watercraft offer a new perspective of our favorite city. You can rent them from Canalside and can find prices and further information on the Water Bikes of Buffalo website here. In the winter, Water Bikes of Buffalo also offers ice bikes!
8. Albright-Knox Art Gallery
We hardly feel appropriate classifying this gallery as a tourist trap, simply because it's one of our favorite pastimes in the city! The Albright-Knox attracts tourists from near and far for its impressive exhibits and displays.

9. Buffalo Wing Trail
Last but not least, what would a tourist trip in Buffalo be without wings? Visit Buffalo Niagara recently launched their own Buffalo Wing Trail, and each stop along the way is worthy of a taste!
