Some restaurants are worth the distance, including the following four spots that are just a drive away from Baltimore. Although this little area may not look like much, there are a few scrumdiddlyumptious gems hidden within the rural surroundings. After you find these charming eateries, you'll want to come back again and again.
Just 20 minutes north of Baltimore is the town of Sparks. You won't find much here except long stretches of scenic farmland. However, if you know where to look, you'll discover a few unassuming restaurants that are packed full of goodness.
These four eateries are located in both Sparks and its neighbor, Sparks Glencoe. If you consider yourself a foodie, then you may want to take a flavor-infused road trip here asap.
1. Serpico Pizza & Pasta
This place is a great spot for pizza or pasta. If you're feeling adventurous, try the spaghetti pizza. It's an oddly satisfying combination.

The sandwiches here are made with the freshest ingredients and tastiest sauces. The service is also top-notch, making for an all around positive experience.

3. The Filling Station
Pair your scrumptious meal with live music at this little eatery with a charming atmosphere. No matter what you order, the food is sure to satisfy your taste buds.

4. The Milton Inn
This historic stone building dates all the way back to 1740 and it opened as a restaurant in 1947. Their Sunday brunch is pretty delicious or visit anytime to experience the rest of the menu items. If you love seafood, try the clams casino (pictured).
