Some of my favorites include Hardy, Mountain View, and Wilson, just to name a few. And while each town has something unique to offer, they all have one thing in common: they’re brimming with charm. That is also true for the tiny town of Lincoln in Washington County. This small community in Arkansas is the perfect place to enjoy a simpler way of living. Nestled inside the gorgeous foothills of the Ozarks, less than 10 miles from the Oklahoma border in NWA is the small town of Lincoln Arkansas.
With a population of just under 2,500 residents, this town has lots of charm and is a great destination for a day trip or a small-town getaway.
You'll want to begin your day by strolling through the quaint square that's lined with locally-owned shops, restaurants, and more.
And if you're there during an event, you might glimpse a vintage car or two on the square.
Antiquers will rejoice as you browse through the vintage items inside the antique shops in town.

Perhaps one of the lesser-known museums in our state, the Arkansas Country Doctor Museum is a true hidden gem in Lincoln.
Dedicated to the preservation of the history of healthcare in rural America, this museum features vintage equipment and old relics that will remind you of a simpler time.
If you're an outdoor enthusiast, then you will love a visit to Lincoln Lake City Park. As the crown jewel of the town, this expansive park is a playground for folks who love outdoor adventure.
Enjoy rock climbing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, and everything in between. You could easily spend the day exploring this adventure haven.
When I visit a new town, I am always on the hunt for the mom-and-pop type restaurant that's been around for a long time.
And that's exactly what you'll find at American Drive-In. This local gem has been slinging some of the best burgers in town since 1958. It's a popular spot for folks visiting the area.
Festival lovers, if you visit during the fall, then you must check out the festivities of the season. Each year, Lincoln hosts several festivals.
Perhaps the most well-known are the Arkansas Apple Festival and the Cane Hill Harvest Festival. Be sure to plan your trip accordingly.
