Even if the leaves aren’t changing colors in your area of the state, there are still plenty of things you can do to celebrate fall. Some of your options are pretty classic: visit a pumpkin patch, attend a harvest festival, or go for a hayride. You can do all of those right here in Arizona but today we’re going to focus on that last option. Let’s take a look at some of the places you can go for a kid-friendly or spooktacular hayride!
1. Apple Annies, Willcox
Hop aboard the tractor-drawn hayride at this orchard! It’s what will take you from the entrance to their orchards and pumpkin patch. When here, you can also opt for just a hayride or combine it with a go through 20 acres of their corn maze!

2. MacDonald’s Ranch, Scottsdale
You might not find that old farmer from the song at this ranch but you will definitely enjoy a fun pumpkin patch, a chance to pan for gold, and a hayride pulled by ranch horses or mules. This is definitely a unique, Arizona-only twist to your typical pumpkin patch.

3. Mortimer Farms, Dewey
If you’re not up for dragging the kids once they run out of steam from pumpkin picking, riding ponies, and watching shows, then you’ll want to go for a peaceful ride on the tractor-drawn hayride. It’s a soothing experience where you’ll also get a personal tour by one of the farmers!

4. Mother Nature’s Farm, Gilbert
The pumpkin patch at this farm operates daily from 9am to 9pm through the month of October. During that time, you can arrive to choose your own pumpkin, whether you’re looking for a tiny gourd or a massive pumpkin to sit next to your front door! In between that, enjoy a hayride around the farm with a hot chocolate and enjoy the agricultural views in the middle of a city.

5. Rocker 7 Farm, Buckeye
There’s no sight more classic than seeing a bright red tractor ride around a farm. When you take a hayride at this farm’s fall festival, this is exactly what will be slowly pulling you around the farm!

6. Nightfall at Old Tucson, Tucson
Looking for something a little more spooky? Nightfall at Old Tucson hosts a haunted hay ride as one of the many attractions at the old movie studio. What kinds of haunts do you think you’ll experience on this ride?

7. Schnepf Farms, Queen Creek
If you’re looking to attend an epic fall festival, you’re going to love the Pumpkin and Chili Festival at this farm! The hayrides pulled by a red tractor are just the start of the fun here; you can also enjoy carnival rides, a train ride, watching pig races, and plenty of slow-cooked chili.
