Fall has officially arrived here in Alabama. With that being said, there's no better way to experience the state's beautiful fall foliage than by taking a scenic drive. One of Alabama's most scenic and popular drives, especially this time of year, is the Lookout Mountain Scenic Highway, which you can read all about below.
The Lookout Mountain Parkway stretches along the top of Lookout Mountain for 93 miles. It begins in Gadsden, Alabama, and ends in Chattanooga, Tennessee. According to Reader's Digest, it's "One of America's Scenic Drives."
There are several attractions located along the Lookout Mountain Parkway that are perfect for visiting during the fall season.
One, in particular, is Noccalula Falls Park in Gadsden. This 250-acre park features a 90-foot waterfall (Noccalula Falls) that's beautiful year-round, especially during the fall season.
