With everything from dazzling light displays and tinsel trails, to holiday home tours and festive parades, Alabama certainly knows how to celebrate the Christmas season. Now, we're going to take you on a magical road trip, which includes six of our favorite Christmas towns.

As you can see, the total mileage for this road trip is 529 miles, with an estimated drive time of 9 hours and 36 minutes. Sure, this road trip can be taken in a single day, but why not stretch it out over the weekend? 1. Fairhope

Our first stop is Fairhope. This charming town's annual tradition is its "Lighting of the Trees," which takes place downtown and kicks of the holiday season. This event has already taken place. However, if you missed it, you can still take a drive through Fairhope's charming downtown area and enjoy all of the beautiful lit trees.

2. Wicksburg

Our next stop is Wicksburg. If you're a fan of Christmas lights, you'll be glad we made this stop. An attraction in Wicksburg that's guaranteed to fill you up with holiday cheer this Christmas season is "Holiday Spectacular Park." This attraction boasts more than 14 million Christmas lights, and it also guarantees fun for the entire family. 3. Eufaula

We've now arrived to Eufaula. This charming town is best known for its beautiful antebellum mansions. Many of these historic homes are decorated for the holidays, and a drive through town will most certainly put you in the Christmas spirit. Each year, Eufaula hosts a festive Christmas parade. However, its annual "Christmas Tour of Homes" is the town's most popular holiday event, which took place December 3, 2016.

4. Gadsden

As we continue north, we reach the city of Gadsden. Gadsden is home to Noccalula Falls Park, which hosts "Christmas at the Falls" each holiday season. while at this Christmas attraction, you'll get to enjoy beautiful light displays, have a chance to participate in cookie decorating, check out the petting zoo, enjoy a visit with Santa and so much more. 5. Mooresville

Our next stop is Mooresville. Mooresville is one of Alabama's most charming small towns. Incorporated in 1818, it's also one of the state's oldest towns. Each year, during the Christmas season, this historic town hosts a "Holiday Home Tour," which took place last week. During this year's event, guests had the opportunity to tour private homes that were beautifully decorated both inside and outside. A drive through this tiny historic town during the Christmas season will definitely fill you with holiday cheer.

6. Huntsville

We've finally reached the end of our road trip and have arrived in Huntsville. The journey here was well worth the trip. "The Rocket City" hosts several Christmas attractions. For starters, Huntsville Botanical Garden features "Galaxy of Lights," which is an animated light display that you can enjoy from the comfort of your car. For more information, click here. Another attraction is the Tinsel Trail, located in Big Spring Park. The Tinsel Trail is a display of live Christmas trees that's open to the public for free. For more information, click here.
