As if we needed another reason to adore H-E-B, they've given us one. The beloved Texas grocery store chain recently opened Main Streat Food Hall, with five restaurants and a bar under one roof at its Mueller location in Austin. Hope you're hungry! Check it out:
H-E-B recently unveiled a revolutionary concept at its Mueller location in Austin. Main Streat Food Hall features five restaurants that serve everything from authentic Texas BBQ to traditional Japanese dishes, plus a full-service bar.
If Tex-Mex speaks your language, look no further than Calle Taqueria.
Inspired by Mexican street food, this zesty eatery promises to tantalize your taste buds with pork carnitas, trompo al pastor, adobo-smoked brisket, and so many more mouthwatering delicacies. Your mouth will be "en fuego" in the best way possible!
Is Asian food more your speed? Yumai Japanese Grill brings the distinctly delicious flavors of Tokyo right here to Texas.
On the menu are potstickers, fried rice, noodle bowls, and curry, among other classic favorites.
Finger-lickin' good fried chicken is the name of the game at Roots Chicken Shak. The secret ingredient, according to celebrity chef Tiffany Derry, is duck fat -- she's obviously right, because you can really taste the difference.
Derry, a Beaumont native, competed on Top Chef and was a Top Chef: All-Stars finalist. She opened Roots Chicken Shak in Plano three years ago, and is now excited to share her world-class Southern comfort food with Austin. On the menu, you'll find fried chicken wings, strips, sandwiches, biscuits, kale and cobb salads, sweet tea, and various dipping sauces. Each bite is overflowing with love, passion, and the unmistakably delicious flavor that duck fat imparts. Oh, and whatever you do, don't leave without an order of Duck Fat Fries and some decadent banana pudding.
Grilled cheese, please! Pay a visit to The Meltery for grown-up spins on a staple childhood meal.
Get yours with roast beef and pub horseradish, smoked turkey and avocado, roma tomatoes and smoked mayo, or a variety of other unique flavor combos. Don't forget to add a side of tomato bisque for dipping!
Voted the best BBQ chain in the state by Texas Monthly, True Texas BBQ provides that unmistakable slow-smoked juiciness you crave without the agonizingly long lines.
Brisket, ribs, sausage, and turkey are all available by-the-pound, and you'll also find specialty items like loaded spuds and mac 'n cheese on the menu. Finish off with a warm slice of seasonal cobbler for the ultimate food coma (so worth it!).
After all that food, you'll need a drink to wash it down.
Bar at Mueller proudly serves craft beers from all over the Lone Star State, plus handcrafted cocktails inspired by Texas mixology and locally-sourced liquor.
From frozen margaritas to Hill Country bourbon and wine to flights of your favorite ales, rest-assured everyone can find something to sip on. You'll even learn how many miles certain beverages traveled to the bar -- and what town they came from!
If you're hungry, several snacks and small plates were carefully selected to compliment the drink list. Marcona almonds, marinated olives, and a charcuterie board are among the options.
Hours are 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, and 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday. Visit the Main Streat Food Hall website or Facebook page to learn more.
