It's no surprise that this new hot spot is a favorite amongst bookworms, but foodies are also starting to take note. When you step inside this fascinating fortress, you'll be greeted with the smells of fresh pastries, spicy aioli, and comforting coffee. The building spans 200,000 square feet and features every kind of novel you can imagine. In addition to the quiet study rooms and relaxing lounges, the Central Library has 150 self-check electronic devices to use.
The newest addition to the library is sure to get your stomach rumbling.
Cookbook Cafe is inspired by the books already on the shelves. The expert chefs take classic recipes from culinary greats and add their own Austin spin to them. Flavors draw heavily on Southern and Mexican staples, and the menu changes seasonally.
