Ye Olde Steakhouse is a classic Tennessee restaurant, born and bred in the American south. With deep-set history that stretches back almost half a century, the low-key exterior design and homey atmosphere is one that should never be underestimated. We always love seeing Tennessee take the cake when it comes to high-end new eateries - but there's just something about traditional space that gets our heart every time.
As one of the most reputable restaurants in the Knoxville area, Ye Olde Steak House has quite the reputation to uphold. Its inception belongs to Bunt King, and their restaurant has been owned by the King family since the very beginning. It is now operated by Bunt's children.
The warm and homey space seeks to evoke a feeling of calm, comfortable relaxation. The design is thoroughly rustic, and only elevated by the delectable eats found across the menu.
All beef is grain-fed in Iowa, and this has become the standard and expectation Knoxville's prime steakhouse. Your meal is "cooked to perfection," which is a point of great pride amongst the folks as Ye Olde Steakhouse. Although the location was moved briefly due to a fire, the original building was renovated and reopened in late 2004. Talk about resilience!
Here's the thing - we aren't the only ones who think Knoxville has the corner on Tennessee steakhouses. Amongst Ye Olde Steakhouse's many honors, you can find it lauded on the "USA Today 2015 10 Best Restaurants in Knoxville" list, as well as the "Yahoo Travel Top 10 Steakhouses," and the SEC Bucket List. This is quite the place to be, folks!
You can visit for yourself at 6838 Chapman Highway in Knoxville, Tennessee. Ye Olde Steakhouse is open from 4-9pm Sunday through Thursday, and until 9:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
