The Short Mountain Distillery is tucked away in the lush, leafy Tennessee countryside. With both guided tours and a restaurant available for your enjoyment, you can come and experience this small-batch, craft distillery for yourself. Visit the Short Mountain Distillery if you're looking to experience how authentic Tennessee spirits and moonshine are made daily. Visitors have the chance to not only learn about the spirited location (see what we did there?), but also the history of Cannon County.
What Short Mountain Distillery offers every visitor is a close-up view of how authentic Tennessee whiskey is made. You can taste, experience, and purchase small-batch spirits during your visit, and will have the chance to learn about Short Mountain whiskey from beginning to end.
All whiskey made on the property is aged in American white oak barrels, which in turn are housed in the Short Mountain Distillery 100-year-old barn for more than 4 whole years. All Short Mountain Distillery whiskey is produced, bottled, and labeled on-site.
Short Mountain Distillery is located in Woodbury, Tennessee, which is in Cannon County. The local history is rife with whiskey making and production, and you’ll learn by way of your ticketed tour how the pride and knowledge in Tennessee whiskey has been passed down from generational to generation.
Tours are $10 a guest and are roughly 60 minutes long. On Thursdays, you can take part in a free tour at 5 p.m., or you can choose to pay for your ticket and visit on Fridays at 5 p.m., Saturdays at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m., or Sundays at 1 p.m. All tours include a full tasting and we’d recommend making your reservation ahead of time.
You can also visit the restaurant on-site to pair your libations with a delicious dinner or lunchtime meal. Reservations are currently required.
