Being the only ski resort in Tennessee makes this the go-to place for hitting the slopes. There are various trails for all skill levels, and purchasing a ticket gives you access for the whole day. You can bring your own equipment, but if you don't have any, you can rent skis and snowboards on the mountain.
For a good old classic winter activity, grab an intertube and go sledding.
These treated slopes will have guests flying down the mountainside with huge smiles on their faces. You'll get 90 glorious minutes to ride down the 350-foot slopes as many times as possible. Taking the conveyor belt back up the hill will take all the hard work out of dragging an intertube back and forth.
What is a magical winter day of fun without ice skating?
Ober Mountain has a massive 140’ X 75’ skate rink that will give you plenty of room to glide around. You don’t even need to be an expert skater to enjoy the ice; there are handrails for beginners and skate trainers for little ones. So no matter what your skill level is, you are sure to enjoy the skating rink.

Ice skating isn't the only thing you can do on the ice, though - hop in a bumper car and go for a ride.
These multicolored tubes are controlled a little bit like a video game and will have guests zooming around on the ice and smashing into each other. This is a unique winter activity that's fun for kids and adults alike.
The Ski Mountain Coaster is another unique and thrilling way to spend a winter day.
Hop on the comfortable cart that fits up to two people and enjoy the ride up the mountain. This leisurely ride will gently tug you up the coaster and give way to some amazing scenery. Once you drop down, you will be in full control to take an easy ride down or zoom by at up to 25 mph. The dips, turns, and corkscrews make for one exhilarating ride.

Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L. North Chickamauga Creek Gorge State Natural Area straddles both Hamilton and Sequatchie Counties and is made up of 7,093 acres. The gorge itself is cut deep into Walden's Ridge on the Cumberland Plateau.
The split in the rocky earth resulted in a series of sandstone bluffs, waterlogged coves, and trickling creekbeds.
And, you'll want to keep your eyes peeled for all sorts of flowering wildflowers and those shelves of sandstone. They're a sight to see, and truly unbelievable. The beauty of Tennessee is unmatched.
