The world has taken a strange turn in recent weeks and months. On one hand, there's such beauty in folks staying home to take care of those that are more susceptible to COVID-19, but it's also heartbreaking to miss out on the springtime season in Nashville. Here are a few things that Nashvillians will never take for granted again, once the shelter-in-place mandate is lifted. Anybody else miss a good crowd on Broadway...? Us too.

1. Getting outside.
Nashville is beautiful of beautiful green spaces, hiking trails and parks, and you can be certain that they’ll be used much for frequently post-pandemic.
2. The roar of the crowd at Bridgestone Arena.
Sure, sometimes it felt a bit deafening. Probably because it was. Still, we can’t wait to cheer on our favorite musical acts and the Preds when the venue opens up to the public again.
3. The Green Hills Mall traffic.
It’s the worst. We know. But we’d sit through it again and again if it meant trawling local boutiques with our best friends.
4. Those tourist-filled Honkytonks on Broadway.
Most of the time you won’t find a local on Broadway unless their showing out-of-town folks around, but Nashvillians should stream on down to Honkytonk Highway to support local businesses and young artists once the pandemic cools its heels.
5. The Titans, folks.
Sure, they may not be the best in the land, but we CANNOT WAIT to cheer them on again.
6. The lines at Crema.
Sure, they can stretch all the way out the door, but if it means we can finally sit inside and enjoy our coffee? Then we'll wait all day long!
7. The tourists of CMA Fest.
We'll take 'em! The tourists and the heat and the traffic! Come infuse Music City with a bit of life, and we'll forever be happy.
8. Running Nashville's famed August 5k.
No matter the heat, we'll welcome the chance to GET OUTSIDE with others when the Tomato Art Fest Rolls around at the end of the summer.
9. Anyone else dying to maneuver that bad Trader Joe's parking lot?
The Green Hills location has the WORST parking lot in the city, but we'll play that traffic game for TJ's.
10. That Nashville traffic...
This one may get old fast. But if there's traffic it means that folks are outside! And that matters.
