With so many Nashville hot spots, the city has become SUCH a wild and exciting city to so many people. It's been neat to watch Music City explode into an, "It City," but there are still small pockets of places locals like to keep to themselves. Aaaaand we're probably going to get in trouble for sharing SO many of the best hidden gems in Nashville with you, but hey - what's a beautiful thing kept hidden? Looking for fun things to do in Nashville, Tennessee? Let's go!
1. Grab a slice at Slim & Husky's Pizza Beeria
Don't head over to Two Boots or DeSano's, try something new at Slim & Husky's, located in North Nashville. Their streamlined design and friendly atmosphere make for a fun, date night-friendly environment. Plus, their fun, nineties-inspired music playlist will make your meal on their outdoor patio THAT much better.

2. Peruse all sorts of produce at the East Nashville Farmers Market
You can visit from April to October, from 3:30 to 6:30 on Tuesday afternoons. Or, from 3 to 6 p.m. November and December. A bit more low-key and tucked away than the Nashville Market, the East Nashville Farmers' Market is the perfect place where you can stock up for the week from local farms and makers alike.
3. Head to the Shoppes on Fatherland to shop local ...
These sweet and intimate micro-shops offer everything from fresh baked bread to thrifted fashion to tacos. They are one of Nashville's hidden things to do known mainly to locals. The Shoppes on Fatherland are great for either a post-brunch meal, fantastic window shopping, or indulging yourself on a slow afternoon.
4. ... or the Five Points Alley Shops
Another great place to shop local, the Five Points Alley Shops (formerly the Idea Hatchery) is a retail community just steps away from the ever-popular Five Points district in East Nashville.
5. Bobbie's Dairy Dip is a fun place for ice cream
Bobbie's Dairy Dip is a local staple during the summer months. It's a true hidden gem in Nashville! We recommend a soft-serve cone, dipped in chocolate or peanut butter (!!!). The low-key joint serves out of a walk-up line, with a few surrounding multi-colored picnic tables.
6. Have dietary restrictions? Make your way to Avo
All meals are vegan at Avo, and some are even raw. The light, open atmosphere makes for a fun experience, and their fully plant-based and locally sourced menu gives Nashville an infusion of dietary goodness amongst all of our barbecue.
Another wonderful restaurant for your Nashville hidden gems bucket list is Avo. Learn more about this Kosher vegan restaurant in this video from Tripping Kosher:
7. Take a picnic up to Love Circle
Love Circle is the local lover's lane, perfect for a picnic in the late evening or an early morning (very romantic) coffee date as you overlook the city.
8. Dino's is THE PLACE for burgers and fries
Dino's is known as one of the oldest bars in Nashville, and its easygoing vibe is perfect for Tennessee locals. Order a burger and fries and enjoy a bit of time in the tiny spot tucked off of Gallatin.
9. Get your sweet fix at Dozen Bakery
Dozen Bakery is known around town for their pastries, as they supply numerous restaurants and coffee shops with their delectable treats. They do, however, have their own storefront in the Wedgewood-Houston area where you can find your fresh baked bread for the week.

Village Pub is a great hangout for a night with friends or an easygoing date. Their $3.50 Mule Mondays draw quite the East Nashville crowd, making your alcohol budget a little easier to maintain.
11. Parlay Barista Parlor and make your way to Headquarters
This tiny, West Nashville establishment may not have the clout of its neighbors just inside the city, but we're a fan of their hipster vibe coupled with a kind edge of southern flare. Order the cortado at Headquarters in Nashville for one of the best drinks in the city!
12. Head over to Jackalope for a solid brew
Jackalope is known throughout the south, and the locally owned beer pub is worth an evening out on the town. Their event nights are worth marking down on their calendar, and you'll fall in love with its micro-brews.

It's the best kind of place to snag an omelette or a cup of coffee. There are trivia questions on every table, prompting a fun bit of competition before your french toast-stuffed pancakes. Look it up - it's a thing. Stop by Sky Blue in Nashville for a delicious time in one of the city's best cafes!
