Bonnaroo and Coachella are popular music festivals due to the vast majority of musicians playing and the crush of vibe-y folk that come to enjoy a low-key environment with tons of quirky adventuring at their finger tips. That may be one of the most innocent ways to describe two of the most notorious music festivals in the US, but at the end of the day it comes down to loving music, and Nashville is good at that. Musician's Corner is a free music festival that takes place during summery weekends here in Nashville, and you can show up with nothin' in your hand and a blanket to lay on and you're good to go. It's a neat thing, and you should visit. Let's take a look!
Musicians Corner is a Nashville local favorite. The free music series occurs every weekend from May through September, but they take the month of July off.
The festivities are set up on the South end of Centennial Park, between the Parthenon and West End. Parking can be tricky to find, so either get there early or plan on walking a ways from your car.
The main event takes place on Saturday afternoon and features a main stage as well as an acoustic stage that features smaller, local artists. Performances start at 12 pm and run until 6 pm. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the shows!
While they aren't free, one of the biggest draws for Musicians Corner is the food trucks. Every weekend brings different trucks, from Jeni's to the Grilled Cheeserie. The family friendly environment is also a plus, although there is alcohol available for purchase.
If you don't have a Saturday afternoon free to attend, Musicians Corner has you covered. They recently started series called Acoustic Friday Night, featuring one main stage with acoustic performances. Don't worry -- the food trucks are still there. Performances run from 5 - 9 pm.
The event is dog and kid friendly, so bring out the whole family! For people looking to avoid children and dogs, there's also the Musicians Corner Pub, serving beer and liquor to those of age with their photo ID's.

Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L. Would you dare to explore some of the most haunted places in Tennessee? Today we want to shine the spotlight on one of the most famous haunted places near Nashville. While the Belle Meade Plantation tours and the Belmont Mansions get lots of attention in the Nashville area, you'll be pleasantly rewarded by a short trip outside of the city to one of Tennessee's oldest and finest frontier manors, Cragfont. Built in what is now Castalian Springs, Cragfont has a long and storied history that includes some of the biggest names in early Nashville. But all of that history still haunts the property, and if you visit, you just might encounter these ghosts for yourself.
The Historic Cragfont house is one of Tennessee's oldest estates, and like many houses with this much history, it's been the site of many supernatural occurrences.
It wasn't always the opulent manor house it is today, though. Before the current building, a log cabin built by Winchester and his brother existed on the site. However, it was demolished after the brother was killed by a local Native American tribe.
Today, the manor is owned by the State of Tennessee and is a historic site open to the public. But after hours, caretakers have reported strange happenings.
Even country singer Conway Twitty had a supernatural experience at the house. After a visit, he claimed that objects in the house were hurling themselves at him as if by invisible entities. Apparently these ghosts don't like country music!
Today, Cragfont is both a historically preserved site and an event venue. So if you ever wanted to get married in a beautiful, haunted place, this is just the spot!
