The trick is finding good dessert, but the folks at Baked on Eighth are setting out to fix that. Their baked goods are not only some of the tastiest things you'll ever find, but they're also absolutely beautiful. Seriously, folks, you just have to see these things for yourselves.
Nashville's newest bakery is an unassuming spot on 8th Avenue South, just a short drive or walk outside of the city's downtown area, and it's already making waves.
Baked on 8th might be an Instagrammer's dream, but the cakes are just as delicious as they are beautiful. Their shop sells whole cakes as well as slices!
They also make plenty of other sweets like these adorable Halloween-season cookies. You can come by to try one or you can order them in bulk for you party.
The best item on the menu though, in our opinion, is the absolutely decadent and ornate s'mores cake, made with graham crackers, caramelized marshmallows, and whole chunks of chocolate.
Many people will tell you Baked on 8th is known for their pies, and they wouldn't be wrong. You don't need to taste one of these beauties to know that it's going to be incredible.

Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L. Parlor Doughnuts has two locations in Nashville, Tennessee, one in the ever-popular Midtown neighborhood and the other right in the midst of downtown.
Is Parlor Donuts a chain? With craft donuts as beautiful as these you might think it is a mom-and-pop shop, but they are spreading all throughout the country. The "Parlor Mission" focuses on offering small batches of unique bakery items made fresh daily no matter where you happen to find one.
When you step inside you will immediately be transported into an elevated, vintage-inspired space that features a prominent American flag and black and white tiled floors. The deep green bar adds a pop of color that perfectly accents the airy room.
Order from a slew of specialty coffee drinks that range from a simple drip coffee to an iced chai or bright green matcha latte. Greater breakfast options include everything from a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich to avocado toast.
