The city of Memphis, Tennessee may be best known for its pivotal history, but it's become one of the best-known dining cities in the American south. Grind City Brewing Co. is one of the city's newest brewery additions and it remains one of the most beautiful and fun spots to enjoy on a summer day. A great beer and good space are really all that you need when it comes to having a great time here in the Volunteer State, and Memphis has something for everyone here on tap.

You can enjoy and visit Grind City Brewing Co. for yourself from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from noon to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and from noon to 7 p.m. on Sundays. Grind City Brewing Co. is currently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

When it comes to testing wine, the best way to do it is with a view. The Mountain View Winery is a scenic winery in Tennessee with one of the best views in all of the state, The Great Smoky Mountains. I don’t know of a better sight in all of the state than our famous national park, and I know I am not alone in that opinion.

The process of making wine is an art. From the delicate process of tilling the ground, preparing the soil, working the earth, and planting your vineyard, much work and preparation goes into every drop from the bottle -- and at the Mountain View Winery in Tennessee, they have perfected this art form.

Of course, if you're looking to enjoy a bit of indulgence, then a trip to Villa Nove Vineyards in Butler, Tennessee just might give you the escape you're seeking. Beautifully situated and perfect for an adults-only trip out of town, this is one destination you may want to visit twice.

Villa Nove Vineyards is located just a few minutes from the banks of Watauga Lake, and its location high in the hills of Butler, Tennessee offers unbelievable views of the countryside. Whereas Villa Nove Vineyards boasts a beautiful location for photographs and weddings, Watauga Lake Winery is open throughout the year and is known as the first winery in Johnson County. Both locations are great for an afternoon out, and the winery hosts events and live music.

If you do find yourself at either location, make sure you capitalize on the large number of wines curated for a tasting appointment. Villa Nove is only open seasonally, so plan accordingly.
