Five Daughters Bakery is the new Nashville darling, a donut specialty bakery that fosters a love of family and southern community at its heart. Isaac and Stephanie Meek, married with - you guessed it - FIVE daughters, are getting ready to christen their third bakery in East Nashville, and have a neat story to boot. Dominique Ansel of New York City fame should watch his back...this is one sweet Tennessee gem you can't miss.
Their 12 South location is a darling old house, painted in sweet colors and feeding the community perfect sugary confections Monday through Sunday. Their location in The Factory in Franklin isn't open on Sundays though - just a heads up!
Their most popular item is the 100 layer donut. It's the Meeks' answer to the cronut, a heady bit of delectable that's rounded out by seasonal flavors.
This chocolate coffee crunch is made of the best ingredients, as noted on the bakery's Instagram. Five Daughters does not use chemical preservatives, soy, hydrogenated oils, GMO or artificial colors or flavorings. This is the good stuff, guys.
Here, you can see their summer flavors from 2016: root beer float, chocolate peanut butter AND cherry cheesecake. You'll have to stop by to see their fall offerings...we know you're curious.
If you have dietary restrictions or differing lifestyle choices, you can always indulge in their paleo offerings. There are vegan choices, as well - each one just as delicious as the other.
Their 12 South location is an instagram wonderland, most likely fueled by those who are in love with their sugary donut treats from heaven. Er...okay. We love them, obviously...
Plus, they'll be moving in across the river in East Nashville soon! We're so freaking excited.
For now, you can visit at their locations in Franklin and the 12 South neighborhood in Nashville.
You guys gonna make it Five, you think? We'd have 100 layer donuts for DAYS.
