The peaceful waterfront is the best feature of this short-and-sweet trek.
The sun glimmers over the calm waters and provides a great place for many birds. You can sit and relax and listen to the tranquil sounds or enjoy the sights as you travel around the trail, but either way, you are sure to love the water.
The Cypress trees provide lots of visual interest on this hike.
These trees grow along the shore and stick out of the ground in a wholly unique, Dr. Seuss kind go way.
The trail is well-maintained and open year-round.
Featuring varied terrain, you'll travel along the water, through the woods, and up some stairs, discovering scenic spots like this bridge. The entire trail is 2.8 miles long with only 278 feet of elevation gain and we suggest doing the loop trail counterclockwise.
There are lots of birds that find their way into the park; keep an eye out for bald eagles and barred owls. You never know what you might find!
Deer are a common sight in this state park too; watch for them grazing in the forests and fields.
