1. Triangle X Ranch
Located roughly 30 minutes north of Jackson as well as within Grand Teton National Park itself, Triangle X Ranch was opened in 1926 and is operated by the same family to this day. The property includes 20 authentic Jackson Hole log cabins from decades past for guests to stay in; the cabins have been updated with many modern amenities and are named for families of guests that have stayed at the ranch in the past. (Note that the cabins have no WiFi or television so, as the site explains, you can "enjoy the true traditional dude ranch experience.") Visitors to the ranch can partake in such activities as horseback riding, wildlife viewing, and hiking. Meals are included in the price of your room and are served three times a day in the Main House, the first building built on the property. Note that peak season for the ranch is between the second week of June and the end of August so if you want a better deal on your stay be sure to book outside of this timeframe. For more information check out the ranch’s website or the property’s Facebook page.

Included with your room is breakfast - which features coffee made from locally-roasted beans, fresh fruit, homemade bread, and an item from the griddle - and nightly hors d’oeuvres. For an extra fee you can also have a four-course dinner in the inn’s bistro. If you’d like to get out and explore the area be sure to take advantage of the Bentwood’s cruiser bikes and snowshoes which can be used free of charge or their e-bikes which can be rented for an additional fee. For more information, check out the inn’s website or the property’s Facebook page.
3. Teton View Bed and Breakfast
This bed and breakfast is located ten minutes from Grand Teton National Park and accepts guests from late May to September. The owners, Franz and Carol, have hosted tourists at Teton View since 1997 and love to share their knowledge of the Jackson Hole area and of the national parks in the area. Accommodation choices here include - but are not limited to - the Bear Den Suite, a two-room suite perfect for small families; the Cabin, a 500-square-foot, one-bedroom cabin with a private deck and parking space, a BBQ grill, and a wood-burning stove for extra warmth; and an actual sheep-herder’s wagon. Or you can opt for the new Sheepherder’s Wagon which is a touch more modern… it has electricity!
Each covered wagon rental sleeps two comfortably and comes with a plush Queen bed (much larger and comfier than what the original wagons had centuries ago, in case you were wondering!) and 21st-century extras like air conditioning and heat.

The perfect blend of simple and memorable, staying in one of these two hand-crafted covered wagons in Wyoming will give you an authentic pioneer experience. If pioneers had AC and luxury bathhouses nearby, that is!
These unique glamping options in Wyoming are perfect for our state's toasty summers and allow for all of the magic of sleeping under the stars without the aches and pains of rocks digging into your lumbar. However, please note that the wagon stairs and large steps up to the bed are not ideal for those with mobility challenges.
Both wagons have access to their own private bathhouse with showers and plumbing.
The 33-acre K3 Guest Ranch is located in its own secluded valley - an idyllic slice of the countryside on the outskirts of Cody. So, you know that epic views are a given with your stay.
But you won't want to be cooped up in your wagon all day! Hot and hearty cowboy (open flame) breakfasts are served daily on the K3 BBQ patio or inside the main dining area. Numerous other decks and patios offer unobstructed views of the scenery as well as cozy seating to relax and recharge.
