Yellowstone National Park is already well-known for being America's first national park, but what many don't realize is that Yellowstone is also the first national park in the entire world (out of 400-plus of them). That gives Wyoming some pretty unique bragging rights as just about everything at YNP is a global first – starting with the park's historic accommodations.

Imagine waking up to the sight of the largest high-elevation lake in North America, surrounded by towering mountains and the crisp air of Yellowstone National Park. That’s what you’ll get at Lake Yellowstone Hotel, the perfect spot to stay if you want a mix of history, rustic charm, and unbeatable scenery. It’s not just another lodge – it's the first hotel ever built in a U.S. national park!

Dating all the way back to 1891, Lake Yellowstone Hotel was created to welcome adventurous travelers to one of the most remote, stunning places in the country.
