The Washington House Inn was founded in 1846, and the current building dates to 1886. It is built in the Milwaukee area's iconic cream city brick. 2. Dreams of Yesteryear - Stevens Point

3. Ringling Brothers House - Baraboo

Built in 1901 by Charles Ringling, this massive estate was in their family for a century and is just now being opened for public use. 4. The White Gull Inn - Fish Creek

This charming building dates to the 1890s and is an iconic part of Door County. Located at 4225 Main St, Fish Creek, WI 54212.

5. The Rochester Inn - Sheboygan Falls

Built by one of the most influential families of the area in 1848, the bottom floor of this building likely served as the post office while the family lived on the second floor and the top floor was used as meeting space. 6. Fargo Mansion Inn - Lake Mills

This 1881 building has been lovingly and painstakingly restored after falling into disrepair. It's now a founding member of the Wisconsin Bed and Breakfast Association, and folks rave about a stay here and the lovely hosts. Located at 406 Mulberry St, Lake Mills, WI 53551.

7. Blue Door Inn - Alma

This 19th century building used to be a single-family home that had a blacksmith shop below it. One of the oldest buildings in town, Blue Door is right in the middle of Alma's historic district and an ideal spot to access Wisconsin's Great River Road. Located at 331 S Main St, Alma, WI 54610.

8. The Holiday Music Hotel - Sturgeon Bay

9. Brayton Inn - Oshkosh

Constructed in the Italianate style and from iconic cream city brick, this place dates back to 1867. In the early 20th century, it was used as bachelor's quarters. Now it's a stunning inn in the Fox Valley and a great spot to start your adventures. Located at 143 Church Ave, Oshkosh, WI 54901.

10. Christmas House - Racine

Built in 1893 by a former mayor's widow, this Inn has been a nursing dorm as well as the host of a Christmastime Cancer Benefit - thus its name. Located at 116 10th St, Racine, WI 53403.

12. Livingstone Inn - Madison

13. Stewart Inn - Wausau

Built by George Maher, a member of the Prairie School, the house dates to 1906 and is chock full of the amazing architectural details you'd expect from this designer. Located at 521 Grant St, Wausau, WI 54403.

14. Lochnair Inn - Racine

Built on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, this house was built in 1915 by a Scottish immigrant. Now it's a wonderful spot for water views, a conference or a weekend getaway. Located at 1121 Lake Ave, Racine, WI 53403.
