No matter how we might feel about all the chaos of the year and how it's all being handled, we can all admit that it really is a bummer that quite a few of this year's fall events are canceled. However, if you're a big fan of Oktoberfest or similar activities, there's one experience you can still have... and not only is there a team dedicated to making it as safe as possible, but it also happens to be located in an absolutely gorgeous setting.
This is the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle's Southport, a hidden gem of a hotel you won't believe is located in the mid-sized city of Renton.
You might think of Renton as the home of Washington's IKEA or the site of one of Boeing's facilities. But it also borders the beautiful Lake Washington.

But what we're really excited about right now is LAKEtoberfest, the month-long promotion at Dock and Drink.
Dock and Drink is located on the first level boardwalk at the hotel. It opened last year, and after a brief closure this year for safety reasons, it's open and ready to celebrate LAKEtoberfest.
During the month of October, Dock and Drink is adding traditional German style food and beer to the bar menu.
There's no better way to celebrate Bavarian culture than with tasty traditional food and beer.
Dock and Drink is open daily from noon until close -- and if you're not spending the night, parking is free for the first two hours.
However, we highly recommend making this enjoyable experience part of a staycation at this luxurious lakeside property. You deserve it.
