Have you ever just wanted to get away from it all? There’s a perfect place where you can escape by Mount Rainier National Park, hidden deep within the woods. Cedar Creek Treehouse is one of the most magical retreats in the world, offering unique lodging in a 200-year-old Western Red Cedar tree. It’s definitely a getaway unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.
You can find this treehouse resort surrounded by Evergreen forest, 50-feet high up in a cedar tree with a breathtaking view of the creek below.
The one-of-a-kind lodging is only about ten miles from the Nisqually River Entrance to Mount Rainier National Park, and it also borders the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Up in their treehouse, you'll be able to see sweeping vistas of Mount Rainier and the Nisqually Valley.
One of the most unique features is their Treehouse Observatory in a nearby Fir tree – accessible via a Rainbow Bridge.
This vibrant bridge stretches 43 feet over the forest floor, and leads to their eight-sided observatory where you'll catch a stunning perspective of Mt. Rainier and surrounding peaks. You can often spot mountain goats on Mount Wow and climbers near Camp Muir with the binoculars provided.
To get to the top, you can simply head up their Stairway to Heaven.
Originally constructed in 2003, their 82-foot high spiral staircase is the only structure of its kind and has been consistently rated as one of the top twenty spiral staircases in the world.
They also have a Floating Treehouse and Sunbridge, which you can check out on the observatory tour.
If you're not up for staying a few nights but still want to explore, you can always go on one of their hour-and-a-half guided tours to see all of the architectural brilliance.
Inside the treehouse, you'll be able to kick back and relax in a comfy cottage.
With a mammoth tree trunk growing straight through the floor, this two-story treehouse provides a bedroom, sun room, kitchen and loft for the private getaway you've always dreamed of.
Here's their cozy loft, where you can fall asleep looking up at tree branches and the stars.
With tons of windows & skylights, you'll be able to see all of the surrounding mountainous views during the day and stargaze at night. Spotting the Milky Way from your bed is beyond magical.
Their Earth-friendly retreat is "off the grid" and uses a small and sustainable solar powered system.
Pictured is their Sun Room, where you can look out and enjoy all of the extraordinary scenery. In the small kitchen area, coffee and tea are complimentary.
Being right by Mount Rainier, you won't be far from countless outdoor activities.
During the summer, you can take a dip in the nearby creek's swimming hole, hike up to High Rock Lookout, go fishing by the creek, or go on an exciting mountain bike journey to Packwood along Skate Creek Road. The possibilities are endless, really.
