One of the perks of living in or near the beautiful state of Washington is exploring it. But lodging costs can really add up, especially during the peak season. Luckily, you can usually find a good deal if you search long enough for one. These 8 charming places will give you a comfortable, affordable overnight stay.
1. Ruby2, Spokane
Want to stay in downtown Spokane for under $100 a night, even during the summer? Hotel Ruby’s second location, Ruby2, has you covered. It’s located right off of I-90 on Post Street, steps away from The Knitting Factory and a few blocks from Riverfront Park.
2. Riverwalk Inn, Chelan
Staying on the shores of Lake Chelan can cost a lot of money, especially during the summer. But the charming, quaint Riverwalk Inn remains affordable, with rooms starting at $99. This property might be no-frills, but it has everything you could want from a vacation spot: clean, comfortable rooms, a relaxing patio and an onsite cafe with great food.
3. Methow Tents, Winthrop
Stay in Washington’s Old West town and enjoy a peaceful night of sleep in a safari-style canvas tent. Tent rentals start at $60 a night and the site has electricity, restrooms, showers, a fire pit and an onsite restaurant with free WiFi.
4. Selah Inn, Belfair
Hang out on Hood Canal’s north shore and relax in your room at the Selah Inn. With prices as low as $85 a night (closer to $100 in the summer) and a gourmet breakfast included in the cost, this place is well worth the money.
5. Misty Valley Inn, Forks
The Misty Valley Inn B&B is an absolute gem. Not only do rooms start at just $80 a night, but you’ll be woken after a peaceful night’s sleep with coffee (or tea, or cocoa) at your door. A delicious breakfast will follow. Best of all, two sweet dogs live at the Inn.
6. Apple Country Bed & Breakfast, Yakima
Does a day of wine tasting followed by watching the sunset from a porch swing, sleeping deeply and then waking up to a savory breakfast sound like a good time? How about getting all of that for $79 per night?
7. Skagit River Resort / Clark’s Cabins, Rockport
You’ll find something for all budgets at the Skagit River resort, ranging from a $239 "theme cabin" to a $109 triplex unit or a $39 tenting site.
8. The Maritime Inn, Gig Harbor
Waterfront hotels are not known for being cheap, but the rooms at the Maritime Inn aren’t nearly as outrageous as you’d expect. Even now, during their peak season, you can get a Deluxe room for $129 per night.
