Where & When To See Fall Foliage In Virginia
Many folks think of New England when they incision stunning fall foliage, but the truth is, Virginia shines just as brightly in the autumn. Wondering "When do the leaves change in Virginia?" It can vary from year to year, but this year, the week of October 9th should be peak leaf-peeping season. Hues of bright red, orange, yellow, and gold can be admired throughout the state, but some of our favorite places to see fall foliage in Virginia include Grayson Highlands State Park, Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, Channels State Forest, Hidden Valley Lake, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Colonial Williamsburg, and Shenandoah National Park in its entirety.
