Welcome to Grateful Meadows! This peaceful, serene property in Virginia promises to put your soul at ease.
Photographed above are the two rescue donkeys, Marley and Archer.
Grateful Meadows is a non-profit farm sanctuary with a host of special animals, including pigs, rescue donkeys, chickens, and more. You'll have a front-row view of the farm from your cozy lodging!
The space is small, with just one bed. However, with so much space to enjoy outside, you'll find there's plenty of room to unwind.
Moreover, there's access to a private bathroom, kitchenette, and lounge in the basement level of the main house. The hosts, Jonathan and Victoria, live there but there are no shared inside spaces.
When you stay for a night or two at the farm, you'll have the chance to get to know these unique creatures. These sweet meet-and-greets might just make your whole trip!
At night, you can settle into your cottage with a good book and cup of tea. WiFi is limited here, but that shouldn't be a problem if your goal is to reconnect with nature.
Another important thing to note is the hosts encourage guests to be mindful of the animal sanctuary and refrain from bringing any animal products onto the farm.
For food options, there are plenty of nearby places to drive to. Plus, there's a complimentary waffle bar provided in the private lounge area!
