Camping near Utah's many lakes is a perfect way to spend a weekend. When it's blistering hot elsewhere, you're cooling off in the alpine forest or playing in the water of the lake. Gazing up at the plentiful stars and enjoying the peace and quiet of the mountains is an experience unlike any other. However, you might get more than you bargained for -- some Utah campgrounds are supposedly haunted. Moon Lake in Utah is a beautiful spot in the High Uintas of Duchesne County. When you visit, you'll enjoy the quiet beauty of this place. But ... you might also encounter a ghost at this potentially haunted campground in Utah.
You might be enjoying a walk through the woods or maybe you’re sitting quietly alone at the lake.
A young girl comes up to you, clearly in distress, and asks you for help. She appears to be soaking wet as if she fell in the lake. Her skin is pale, her lips are blue, and she’s shivering. Of course, you agree to help her. But as you turn to gather your things, she vanishes ... right into thin air.
The sightings usually occur during broad daylight.
The girl only approaches people who are alone.
After the sun sets, campers hear some unsettling things.
The sounds of footsteps running right through the campground.
Sometimes loud splashing in the lake or uncontrollable sobbing.
Some people believe the ghost is a girl who drowned at the lake years ago.
She might not realize that she's dead, and wants to be reunited with her family.
