A portal to Middle Earth has opened right here in Texas, and stepping through it will take you to the most whimsical Airbnb you'll ever stay in.
Located just 10 minutes from downtown McKinney, the Hobbit House offers a unique overnight experience with magic imbued into every aspect.
Upon entrance, you'll meander along a cobblestone path underneath a vine-wrapped archway.
Custom landscaping includes vibrant flowers and huge, towering trees, both of which help tie the whole ambiance together.
The interior is like a scene straight from a J. R. R. Tolkien novel, with ivy dripping down the walls and bowls full of fresh fruit and vegetables.
You'll even see a map of Middle Earth, allowing guests to become completely immersed in the fantasy.
Up to two guests can sleep in the one-room cottage, which features one king bed and an attached bathroom.
The custom-made round bed is yet another intricacy that helps bring Tolkien's fictional universe to life.
Even the door is round -- welded by hand with a painstaking amount of patience and attention to detail.
From the beginning of your stay until checkout, stepping through it never gets any less enchanting.
Another round door leads into the bathroom, which truly looks like it was designed for a hobbit.
Between the tree trunk sink and wooden bathtub, you'll have no trouble channeling your inner Bilbo Baggins.
It's important to note that the ceiling gets as low as 5'6", so taller guests will need to crouch down in some spots.
There is also no cooking allowed in the Airbnb, however a coffee maker and fridge are provided.
The nightly rate is $180. Visit the Airbnb listing for more information and/or to book your stay.
