Llamas are undeniably some of the cutest animals on earth, and here in Texas, you can camp with them! Llamaland Ranch, located near Cedar Creek Lake in the sleepy town of Tool, offers one of the most unique overnight adventures you've ever had. Surrounded by friendly four-legged friends, guests can sleep under the stars in a remote, peaceful setting.
Tucked away in the tiny town of Tool, you'll find a special place called Llamaland Ranch. This 100-acre family farm affords guests the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to camp with more than 20 adorable llamas.
Farm owners Judy and Pat Young have raised the llamas from birth, giving each one a name that it responds to when called. The animals are cared for like beloved family pets to ensure their lives are long and prosperous.
Eight campsites are available, each one accommodating up to 15 guests. You'll need to bring your own tent or camper/RV, however amenities like picnic tables and a bathroom are available. Generators and campfires are permitted.
Alternatively, you can camp in the pasture, which is where the llamas roam! They'll greet you upon arrival, but don't worry about being bothered in your sleep.
During the day, you can pet, feed, and play with your new furry friends. The Youngs provide treats for you to offer the llamas, who will eat straight from your hand — they don't bite!
The rate is $30/night, an absolute steal to look at adorable faces like this. Not to mention the magic of escaping to a secluded area with sprawling oak trees and lush, wide-open meadows.
Address: 9059 County Road 2403, Tool, TX 75143. Check-in is any time after 8 a.m., and check-out is before 2 p.m.
