Nashville is a beautiful and wonderful town, but anyone who has lived in the city for long also knows that a good old-fashioned retreat is just what you need sometimes. Luckily, you don't have to go far to experience some of the most scenic and quiet beauty that Middle Tennessee has to offer. On the banks of Percy Priest Lake, just half an hour from downtown Nashville, this campground will quickly become your favorite new retreat. Check it out!
Located on the quieter banks of Nashville's Percy Priest Lake, Poole Knobs campground is the perfect Music City retreat.
Percy Priest is known for its many recreation opportunities, including hiking all around the lake and plenty of room to break out the boat.
The campground is on the West bank of the lake, meaning you early risers out there will be rewarded with stunning sunrises over the lake's calm waters.
Poole Knobs has 87 campsites, all covered in shade and with plenty of space. Sites range from basic tent sites to deluxe RV sites with full electric and water hookups.
Many of the sites even back right up to the lake. Can you imagine anything more peaceful than waking up to this sight in the morning?
The campground only charges $16-$26 per site, depending on the amenities it offers, with some of the premium RV sites being more. They're typically open starting at the beginning of May and running through the end of September.
Reservations can be made online at their website, which is always recommended. Once you have your site, head out to La Vergne and enjoy the nature! 493 Jones Mill Rd.
