Located 45 West of Nashville, Montgomery Bell State Park is the perfect getaway from the bustle of Music City. The park offers 110 campsites with various levels of amenities, from full-hookup sites to back country primitive sites.
6. Bledsoe Creek State Park
Bledsoe Creek State Park is located on the shores of the Bates Branch of Old Hickory Lake, just Northeast of Nashville. The campground is open right on the lake, offers year-round fishing, and has 57 sites that are also open year-round.
5. Cedars of Lebanon State Park
Cedars of Lebanon is known for their miles and miles of hiking and horse trails. Located 45 minutes East of Nashville, the park offers sites for both RV's and tents. There's even a cave within walking distance of each of the camping areas!
4. The Natchez Trace
Natchez Trace Sate Park's campground has over 200 campsites, meaning that there's always a good chance that a no-reservation drop in can be accommodated. The park features over 23 miles of hiking trails, including a 14-mile overnight trail that requires a backcountry camping permit. The park is located just half an hour East of Jackson.
3. Henry Horton State Park
50 minutes South of Nashville, just outside of the small town of Chapel Hill, Henry Horton State Park has 75 campsites, right near the Duck River. With a newly renovated campstore (including a coffee area), Henry Horton makes for the perfect last-minute weekend getaway to get out and enjoy some peace and quiet (and coffee) in the great outdoors.

On the North Shore of stunning Center Hill Lake, Edgar Evins State Park is one of the more scenic camping opportunities in Tennessee. The 60 tent and trailer sites are built right on to the slopes of the lake. Don't miss the breathtaking scenery that this campground has to offer!

45 minutes North of Cookeville, Standing Stone lies in the heart of the forest on top of the Cumberland Plateau. This secluded location's 36 sites make for the ultimate getaway for those looking to find somewhere off the beaten path.
