Union Station is located in downtown Nashville and is plagued with mystery. The hotel has long since been rumored haunted, and the eerie stories and quirky site location makes for a vivid backdrop to a epic ghost story. We love this gorgeous place, and are absolutely in love with the fact that the most haunted hotel in Nashville is so jaw dropping.
The magnificent profile that Union Station cuts against the sky is a beautiful thing. But there's a darker story.
There are stories of a woman who can be found walking through the lobby, alone, only to jump off the platform outside, disappearing towards the rails below.
She is said to be a young woman waiting for her lover who lost his life in World War II. Though she was waiting for the love of her life on the arriving train, she instead received news that he had been killed.
She wanders the location, waiting for the love of her life that will never come. It's a heart wrenching story that floods the place with an ache from the past.
Room 711 is also supposedly haunted. There are no hard-lined stories, but it was once the attic and it's said you may see figures or feel cold spots.
It was also the spot where a married man met his mistress, where their trysts were carried out under the highest level of secrecy. When he stopped showing up, she killed herself in room 711.
It's a fascinating place for sure. A couple of friendly ghosts mean that you should visit - definitely don't stay away. The historic site makes for a beautiful stay, with or without a bit of lovelorn paranormal activity.
We have all sorts of goosebumps...have you spent the night at this haunted hotel in Nashville?
