Having a getaway that is both historic and modern is a wonderful combination. Magnolia Acres in Columbia, Tennessee, has this quality and frankly, this place could be described as heaven on earth. I would agree; Magnolia Acres feels both elegant and peaceful, making it the perfect spot for your next group event or large gathering.
This historic estate sits on 10 beautiful acres in the peaceful countryside of middle Tennessee. The owner stumbled upon the property when she first went on a women's retreat and fell in love. Soon she was able to fulfill her childhood dream to live in our wonderful state and used her natural hospitality gifts to play host to this phenomenal property.
There are 14 rooms and can comfortably accommodate up to 16 people. This 19th century historic estate has been updated with modern touches all while maintaining the original charm of a historical property. You can rent the space out for weddings, events, or retreats for large groups to enjoy this slice of paradise.
Often referred to as the "heart of the home" is the kitchen. A large island with enough seating for six guests that features a massive European gas range, this impressive kitchen takes the best of both worlds as it blends the artistic interior styling found in France and American design.
Other gathering rooms in the house include three dining rooms, an expansive outdoor lounge area, epic family fun room, and the Le’ Grand Salon which houses, appropriately, a grand piano. Gather around the poker table in the rec room or grab a classic book in the library to read -- there are plenty of spaces for fellowship or a bit of solitude.
Outside you will find trails to meander as well as a nine-hole golf course. Gather around the fire pit or host speakers and events in the charming barn or open-air amphitheater. Perhaps the heated saltwater pool will be alluring enough on a warm summer day... or stop by the cabin on the property for a full spa treatment.
Fans of the Christian rock band, NEEDTOBREATHE, might recognize this property as well. This is where the band stayed for a whole month as they recorded their album "Into The Mystery" from start to finish. The estate is in the background of their album cover and is the setting for the documentary they shot onsite.
Magnolia Acres is a historic, peaceful, one-of-a-kind getaway in Tennessee. A beautiful property that has inspired dreams to come true and wonderful music to be made, you can book this space for your next big event by visiting the Magnolia Acres Vrbo page.
