Union Station Hotel is located right in the heart of buzzing Nashville, Tennessee, and it was once utilized as the main train station in the area. During the Second World War, it was also the main point of departure for soldiers bound for combat. As one can imagine, the historic space has stories both of redemption and heartache, but ghosts seem to be attracted to only one thing... tragedy.
If you walk in the hotel nowadays you'll most likely be gobsmacked by the luxurious interior design. The hotel itself is seven stories in total, and each room is known for being independently outfitted and designed to exude a sense of high-end local luxury.
There is a ghost, however, who is said to reenact her death on the train tracks that run right outside the hotel. During World War II, Abigail was a tender 20-year-old who said goodbye to her love at Union Station before he left to fight in France.
A few years later, it was at the then Union Station train station that she found out he had been killed in combat. Heartbroken, Abigail threw herself onto the tracks below and was killed by a moving train.
The story may sound hopeless, but guests have reported not only seeing Abigail, but a soldier in uniform waiting for her on the tracks. It seems as if her love has traveled from the ether beyond to find the woman he left so many years ago.
Although Abigail's story is the most famous at the Union Station Hotel, there are also strange noises and experiences that take place in room 711. Visitors claim that the top floor room is haunted due to the sudden drops in room temperature, the sound of furniture being dragged across the room in the early hours of the morning, and the eerie feeling of being watched.
