If you're looking to camp in Nashville, you may find yourself a little disappointed. We are a metropolitan area after all, and don't pride ourselves on a TON of campsites within city lines. Lucky for you, we're still in Tennessee. Just a quick jaunt outside of the city and you'll find this beautiful place for camping near Nashville - Take a look!
Here we have it - Long Hunter State Park.
Located in Hermitage, you're looking at thirty minutes from city center to some of the most enjoyable camping you've ever had.
First of all, just look at this view!
And this one.
It's water for days and there are a ton of sites that give you the option to bring an RV, pitch a tent, or indulge in rooms or a cabin. There are 57 campsites total throughout the entirety of the park.
The wildlife is insane out here, as well. Exceedingly safe and great for little ones, while boasting picnic pavilions and shelters that are perfect for those midday lunch breaks.
Here's a closer look at that cutie from earlier - just don't touch us. That's all.
Long Hunter State Park isn't quite Nashville, but we'd like to say it's close enough. The fishing opportunities, visitor center, and group camping options are enough to keep us out of the city all year - almost.
