The power of great food can be a compelling phenomenon. But much can be said for the added element of an inviting atmosphere. That being said, this little eatery in Old Town Bluffton has all that and more. Utilizing an old cottage built by a man who is credited with saving the life of one General Stonewall Jackson (yes, that Stonewall Jackson), the 1868 former dwelling is now a thriving restaurant. Take a look.
Today, The Cottage is a main stay in the small historic Old Town, and located just steps from the street giving passersby an upclose vision of the whimsical garden seating and porch.
Step inside to find a full-on bakery, tea room and popular coffee spot — and that's in addition to serving breakfast and lunch every day, and dinner on Friday and Saturday.
With a bakery on site, even the goodies case is a bit whimsical with all the bright colors and delectable sweets within.
Be sure to come hungry, the food is delcious and served in heaping portions.
Choose from seating inside, or outside on the porch or patio. A nice cool day is the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the eclectic outdoor atmosphere — and food!
