Pettigru Place Bed and Breakfast is a top-rated inn located on Pettigru Street in the charming Pettigru Historic District, which is comprised of homes built in the early 1900s and is the largest historic district in Greenville. It's an enchanting, picturesque sight when the leaves reach peak autumn vibrancy.
You'll be greeted with just the right touches embracing the season here at this cozy Greenville bed and breakfast. It feels like coming home from the moment you set foot on the property.
After you check in, you may enjoy relaxing in the gorgeous garden area and sitting by the firepit as the coolness of the fall evening begins to set in.
Even as temperatures outdoors are falling, the atmosphere at Pettigru Place is warm and hospitable. You'll sleep well in one of six beautifully appointed rooms.
And in the morning, Pettigru Place Bed and Breakfast offers lick-your-plate delicious options to start the day off just right. In the fall, you'll find dishes like Gingerbread Pancakes with Pumpkin Ice Cream ...
... or Apple Sundae Stuffed French Toast, a perfect mix of hot and cold just like fall weather can be in South Carolina! Candied pecans and thick-cut bacon are perfect to complete this meal.

The convenient location of Pettigru Place allows you to walk to most of the shops, restaurants, and other attractions you'll want to explore downtown, such as Pomegranate on Main, which is one of my personal favorites. If you visit in October, check the dates for the Fall for Greenville Festival so that you can plan your visit accordingly if you'd like to attend. Of course, be sure to book Pettigru Place, one of the best bed and breakfasts in Greenville for a fall getaway!

The 1912 Bed and Breakfast in Sumter is a beautifully restored home that was built in, of course, 1912. With a mixture of antiques along with modern furniture, the charming, friendly atmosphere is comfortable and feels as though you could have traveled back in time to the early 1900s when life was simpler in many ways. Its location makes it a convenient stop when traveling through the state, positioned less than 30 minutes from I-95 and just off Highway 401 and Highway 15 from 378. If you do elect for lodging in Sumter and you can spare the time, check out the beautiful Swan Lake Iris Gardens and stop by J. O'Grady's downtown for a delicious bite to eat in a fun setting.

With Corinthian columns and a stately double front porch, the Greek Revival-style Sumter Bed and Breakfast home was the Barnett family home from the time it was built until the current owners bought and restored it. The Barnett family moved to Sumter around 1880. They were business owners and involved in local politics.
There's a charming English garden and courtyard on the property for guests to enjoy, as well as a dog yard for pets to play or stretch their legs.
Inside the home, a great room on the first floor serves as the space for mingling or just relaxing. Regular activities such as weekend socials, high tea service, wine down Wednesday, and themed events such as a 1920s experience are held here.
Warm up by a fire in the sitting room in the cooler winter season. During holidays, you'll find festive decorations and other treats, especially during the Christmas season.
The four bedrooms are all on the second floor, each decorated with its own personality and style. This one is the Moroccan room and is the most modern. It's light and airy and has a queen-size bed with a memory foam mattress.
The Moroccan room comes with an ensuite bathroom.

The largest room is the Romance room, with a four-poster King-size bed with a memory foam mattress.
It also has a sitting area and a bathroom with built-in cabinets, heated tile floor, a towel warmer, a cast iron tub/shower combo, and a double vanity with an elegant glass vessel sink.
More of a traditional room, the Spring room features period wallpaper with matching drapes. The King-size bed has a memory foam mattress.
A towel warmer in the bathroom will provide comforting warmth following a shower. This room also has private access to the upper balcony overlooking a magnificent 300-year-old Oak Tree.
The fourth room is called the Blue Room and comes with a queen-size bed and detached, yet private, bathroom down the hallway.
After a good night's rest, a delicious scratch-made Southern breakfast is served family-style in the formal dining room.
Guests consistently give this bed and breakfast very high ratings and particularly enjoy the warm hospitality and excellent service provided by the hosts.
