A day trip to Block Island is always a fantastic getaway, but if you can spend the night, you are in for a real treat. An amazing inn that has its own exotic animal farm is hiding away in this part of Rhode Island and it's a place the whole family will love. So enjoy the ferry ride, scenery, and glorious beaches, but make sure you reward yourself with a visit to the Abrams' Animal Farm.

Almondy Inn requires a two-night stay. However, if you're visiting during certain holidays, you must book a stay for a minimum of three nights.

Built in 1854 on Spring Street as the convent for St. Mary's Church, it was dismantled and moved to its current location in 1986. The inn is named for the English admiral and meteorologist who piloted Charles Darwin's famous journey that inspired the Origin of the Species.
