Escape the rush of every day life, even if only for a night, when you check into this elegant castle-like hotel nestled in the charming neighborhood of Shadyside. Spend the day strolling through the quaint shops of Walnut Street before retiring to your luxurious room at the Mansions on Fifth, where an unforgettable experience in Pittsburgh awaits.
Embrace a rich part of Pittsburgh's history when you stay at the Mansions on Fifth, a regal mansion of 20,000 square feet built for the Willis McCook family in the early 1900s.
Sat along Fifth Avenue, once known as Millionaires Row and home to such famous residents as Andrew Carnegie, the Mansions on Fifth stayed in the McCook family until the darkness of the Great Depression fell upon Pittsburgh.
The McCooks lost the home that had cost them a handsome sum of $300,000 to build and it was eventually purchased by the Bonavita Family for less than $30,000. The family began renting the rooms out to local college students, a tradition that ended when tragedy struck in 2004.
Fire ripped through the majestic mansion. Restoration experts purchased the mansion, restoring it back to its former glory at a cost of more than $8 million and it debuted as a luxury hotel in 2012.
Wrap yourself in simple luxury when you check into the Mansions on Fifth, operated by the Priory Hospitality Group since 2016.
Cozy up next to the fireplace in your room, if applicable. Simply ring the butler to summon your car or to meet any of your other needs.
Curl up in bed and gaze outside of the windows that overlook Shadyside. The Mansions on Fifth feature standard and deluxe rooms, standard and deluxe suites, and the Presidential Suite, the latter of which boasts two bedrooms and 1,000 square feet of living space.
Wake up each morning to a free continental breakfast before working out in the fitness room or heading out for a relaxing day in the city.
