We love finding remote, charming places like this! Breathtaking views of New York's high peak region surrounds you on these 22 acres of land. With Whiteface Mountain roughly 10 minutes away, many love to visit here during the winter months as well. Most likely considered to be the least luxurious spot on our list, these campsites will give you an unforgettable stay...FOR FREE! There isn't much room for complaints when the location is free, right? Along 6th and 7th Lakes off of Route 28 you'll find nearly 150 campsites, all of which are free.

10. Hostel Buffalo-Niagara, Buffalo
This location won't be for everyone, but to those traveling alone or looking to stay somewhere cheap it could be exactly what you need. Rates for beds start at only $35 and for private rooms start at $85. You like the way your bank account is looking now, huh? Walk outside the hostel doors and you'll find yourself right in Buffalo's Theater District, steps away from the historic sites of downtown.
