There's a fun little campground across the lake that many a Louisianian remembers visiting as kids. From the water slide to playing in the creek, you'll never run out of things to do at this amazing campground. In fact, you may just find yourself renting a cabin and staying here for a long weekend!
You’ll find Land-O-Pines Campground just across the lake, in Covington.
Their address is 17145 Million Dollar Rd., Covington, LA 70435.
This campground has something for everyone.
From volleyball courts to rock walls, there’s something for everyone here.
You can rent a cabin and stay for a few days, or just buy a day pass if you’re just looking to get away for an afternoon.
Day passes are offered 7 days a week and are $8 for 3-15 year olds and $10 for anyone 16+.
The swimming pool is, of course, a popular hang out.
No better way to beat the heat than with a quick dip in the pool!
The campground is nestled up against the Bogue Falaya river, so you can go swimming in the river too.
Don’t forget the sunscreen!
There are several secluded spots you can sneak away to just to take in the beautiful scenery.
You’ll be surrounded by canopies of beautiful pine trees and immersed in nature. What a lovely way to spend a weekend!
The campground’s most popular attraction is the water slide.
The water slide is not included in a day pass, so remember to purchase your water slide tickets! You can buy a five ride bracelet for a mere $6.
They also host several events throughout the year.
Complete with live music from local musicians.
