The best B&Bs combine all the cozy warmth of home with the pampering you’d expect at a boutique hotel. This Albuquerque bed and breakfast delivers just that, with the added bonus of an on-site winery. Seriously, how can you go wrong with a bed and boozery?
The Londene family opened Red Horse Vineyard B&B about a year ago. Located in the South Valley, the two-acre property is serene yet still convenient to Albuquerque’s main attractions.
Like the oldest buildings on the property, the grape arbor dates back to the 1870s.
The vineyard grows Concord and Cabernet Franc grapes along with a white grape that no one has successfully identified! The wine press, which is still used today, is believed to be over 100 years old.
During your stay, you’ll have the chance to taste the results for yourself.
Red Horse Vineyard B&B contains five rooms, each with a different theme. This is the English rose room, a romantic space with its own private patio.
The Old West Albuquerque room offers a cozy, rustic vibe and is decorated with antiques from the property.
Of course, a comfy bed is always important, but what about the breakfast part of this B&B experience? Well, since fruit, vegetables, and eggs are all produced right here, every aspect of the full breakfast is extremely fresh.
Throughout the day, homemade baked goods are available to snack on.
Spend your days soaking in the (seasonal) pool and the hot tub.
Or, if you prefer a more active vacation, take advantage of one of the various packages Red Horse offers, like the Horse Trails and Chuckwagon experience. Let loose your inner cowboy (or girl) with a guided horseback ride followed by a BBQ chuckwagon meal.
This is very much in keeping with the property’s Old West past. According to stories, horses for the Pony Express were once stabled here.
at 2155 Londene Lane S.W. in Albuquerque.
