There's no question that spring has sprung in New Jersey, and the more natural areas of this state are already filled with blooming flowers. Heck, even in more suburban areas you can probably see nature creeping its way in! For me, there's no better time to get away from it all and reflect on the state's rustic beauty - but is there any place in the state that's completely peaceful? After all, we are the most densely populated state in the country. Well, it doesn't get much more peaceful than Blairstown, a small community hidden in the north of the state near the Pennsylvania border. That's where you'll find a private lakeside cottage on a small farm, and this lakeside Airbnb in New Jersey sleeps five guests in the middle of a pastoral landscape. Even for those of us who live near the beach and can visit whenever we want, it still feels like a pretty special destination. Something about feeling the sand between your toes and the cool breeze blowing over the water has the ability to make you feel immediately relaxed. Here in New Jersey, we've got no shortage of amazing spots to spend time on the water, whether you're looking for shoreline along the Atlantic Ocean or prefer to check out our multitude of lakes and rivers. No matter what season it is, many of us love being on the coast, because a walk along the waterfront is a tranquil experience that has no substitute. If you're looking for the perfect place to spend some time by the water, we think you'll love the charming Airbnb we're featuring today. The Octopus Cottage is an adorable, colorful cephalopod-themed hideout in East Township, New Jersey that's right by the water and offers up a great spot for a few nights away.

We might be a small, heavily urban state here in New Jersey, but when the leaves start to change, we all love to head to the country! New Jersey's fall foliage season is amazing, and it'll be coming up soon, which is why the rush is on to find the perfect leaf-peeping trip - and some top locations might get pretty crowded. That's why I went looking for hidden gems - and I found an incredible one on the Jersey Shore. This unique Airbnb in Somers Point is called Leenie's Garden Hideaway, and it's an amazing retreat for a couple - an intimate mother-in-law suite connected to a house with a gorgeous private garden and some truly unique amenities. There's no better place to take in New Jersey's wonder in your own little getaway!
