When her beau did not return from deployment in World War I, the guest, Emily, returned desperate to find a token from her love.For decades, guests have spotted this figure throughout the hotel. One guest painted what he had seen, and the portrait is still on display. Employees of the hotel are happy to relay their own encounters with Emily, who is, apparently, still searching desperately for her ring.
Today, the Flanders Hotel is one of the most recognized landmarks at the Jersey Shore.
To this day, guests report sightings, along with strange sounds and happenings throughout the hotel.

Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L.
