The Jersey Shore is a great place - and sometimes it seems like the entire state thinks so. There's no question that the shore is packed in most places, especially during the busy season. That's why it's so great when we find a hidden haven like Fortescue. Located on the southern coast of New Jersey, about an hour's drive from Cape May to the northwest, it's a tiny beach town that's a great place for fishing and boating - and the most unique place to stay in Fortescue, NJ makes an amazing home base. The town is home to a VRBO tiny home that packs a lot of comfort into a small space, making it ideal for a couple or a small family getaway. It's a great place to kick back, enjoy the beach, and indulge in some fresh seafood!
This place definitely lives up to the term "Tiny House", but appearances can be deceiving.
Inside, the house is quaint and comforting, with modern amenities including a Smart TV and free WiFi.
The full kitchen is compact, but has everything you need to create a great meal.
The tiny house sleeps six, with two bunk beds and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room.
The best part of this location is the easy access to Fortescue Beach - right outside your door!
For a bite to eat in this area, head to Higbee's Luncheonette - operating out of a bait-and-tackle shop in the fishing area.
The specialty here, no surprise, is crispy fried seafood! The restaurant is seasonal, so you'll definitely want to make a visit here for Soft-Shell Crab season.
