The Martin Hotel was first called the Roman Tavern and Restaurant during the early 1900s. However, in 1913, the building was acquired by husband and wife, Augustine Martin and Elisee Martin, who gave it the name it is known by today – The Martin Hotel.

The hotel and restaurant were both (and still are) Basque pillars of the community. Basque and Nevadan sheepherders sought hearty meals, rest, and friendly faces at The Martin Hotel.
Throughout the years, the hotel continues to celebrate Basque culture in Nevada.
The hotel was owned and operated by the Martin family for many decades until the death of Augustine Martin. Still, the business continued as a hotel and restaurant as it was owned and operated by numerous Basque families in the area.
Today, visitors to the Martin Hotel can dine at the restaurant and try traditional as well as American entrees. Passed through multiple owners and generations, patrons can expect recipes perfected through the years!
You simply have to try the 4H Lamb Burger served with your choice of their famous fries, onion rings, or mashed potatoes and gravy!
The restaurant supports local ranches by purchasing their lamb straight from the farm! You can expect 4H lamb and the finest Black Angus Choice beef.
