All aboard! Who's up for a totally unique adventure that will whisk you away from the hustle and bustle of every day life? Well, if you've never slept in a caboose before, now's your chance. This railroad-themed bed & breakfast in Missouri, nestled in the woods, allows you to cuddle up in a cozy caboose, sat stationary on the tracks, for an unforgettable adventure.
Climb aboard your own private caboose at Cruces' Cabooses in Windsor, right along the Katy Trail.
Of course, you'll have to make reservations ahead of time as the charming B&B features only two cabooses - the Burlington Northern Caboose (green) and the Santa Fe Caboose (red).
Reserve the Burlington Northern Caboose, which sleeps up to six guests and features a double bed that doubles as a futon and four "Swedish Army size bunk beds."
Or, opt for the Santa Fe Caboose that sleeps five guests in bunk beds. Both cabooses have a shower, a small kitchen area, and a dining space as well as heat and air conditioning.
Pull up a chair by the private campfire, behind the cabooses, to watch the early morning sunset. Then, dig in to your free continental breakfast.
Spend your day fishing at the pond right by your caboose or hiking along the Katy Trail before roasting marshmallows over the campfire when the sun sets.
