For a true old-fashioned getaway, you’ve got to book a stay in the Pleasant Home, a historic cabin from the 1800s! Don’t worry, though. It’s not entirely antiquated. It’s got modern-day amenities, like AC and TV, to ensure a comfy stay.

Catching the fall foliage in Mississippi is a tricky task. Our friends in the north will start seeing the colors turn in the next few weeks, but Mississippi tends to arrive fashionably late to the festivities. Mid-October to mid-November is the general ballpark, but one poorly-timed cold snap could change that! I always feel like we see the peak fall foliage in Mississippi closer to the beginning of November.

Even though we still have a few weeks to go before we start seeing those beautiful fall colors in Mississippi, we can use that time to start planning our fall adventures! Hopefully, you'll carve out some time this year to see the fall foliage in Mississippi.

I enjoy northern Mississippi for leaf-peeping—especially the northeast area. If you’re thinking about checking out the fall foliage in Mississippi this season, this scenic Airbnb is the perfect place to call home while you explore.

Both JP Coleman State Park and Tishomingo State Park are nearby. These are great natural areas to enjoy the fall foliage. If you have a boat, I highly recommend visiting JP Coleman State Park and seeing Copper Falls. It’s only accessible via boat, but it’s just a short boat ride from the park. It’s a beauty when surrounded by various shades of yellow, orange, and red!

Woodall Mountain is also nearby, and this lovely little spot just so happens to be the highest natural point in Mississippi! Take a drive over and catch a tree-top view from your windshield--no hiking necessary!
