With the rise of home-sharing services like Airbnb, thousands of unique and amazing spots to stay have opened up around the world. However, we think the most stunning one of all might just be right here in Massachusetts. Check out this incredible lighthouse Airbnb that combines history with gorgeous views.
Wings Neck Lighthouse is located in Pocasset. It’s a stunning historic lighthouse that was originally built in 1849 to help boats navigating the dangerous waters around Cape Cod, but is now a jaw-dropping Airbnb rental with amazing 360-degree ocean views.
Seriously, this place is almost too pretty to be real life. Arriving is like walking into a painting. A wide green lawn that sweeps almost right down to the water’s edge surrounds the white keeper’s home and tower, which sit at the tip of Wings Neck Point. The smell of the sea and sound of the waves is enough to enchant you immediately, but the inside of this rental is equally charming.
The house itself is attached to a hexagonal wooden tower that serves as the lighthouse. At the top of the tower is a real lighthouse lantern and the opportunity to marvel at panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Downstairs, guests can enjoy three bedrooms, a full bathroom with tub and shower, and a half bathroom with a washing machine and drying. There’s a beautiful spiral mahogany staircase connecting top and bottom, as well as two televisions and all the standard kitchen appliances.
Reserving your stay here is easy, though it is rather pricey. The minimum rental period is one week and rates start at about $850 per night in the summer. In the winter, however, prices drop to about $360 per night. Rentals begin on Saturday at 3 p.m. and end the following Saturday at 10 a.m.
