This secluded cabin in Louisiana rests on the shores of Lake Claiborne in Homer. It’s just a stone’s throw away from Lake Claiborne State Park, one of my favorite state parks in Louisiana. Here, you can explore the hiking trails and enjoy the beautiful Lake Claiborne.
Of course, this rental includes those dreamy Lake Claiborne views, so I wouldn’t blame you if you never left the cabin. With views like this, you certainly won’t be looking at your phone. There is no WiFi here, which helps encourage guests to stay off their devices. Kick back and relax on the deck overlooking the lake! There's a grill for cooking up those prized fish you'll catch and plenty of outdoor seating to soak up that fresh air.
The waterfront cabin had two bedrooms (four beds) and one bathroom and could accommodate seven guests comfortably.
Lake Claiborne is a popular lake in Louisiana for boating, and there’s a boat launch right next to the cabin. You can’t beat that! Feel free to bring your tackle box and take your boat out to fish the lake, or just drop a line right from the dock.

Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L. An Instagram ad caught my eye during a late-night scroll session and I was intrigued by the colorful compartments and versatility of the bag, which can be carried as a duffle or as a backpack (I prefer the backpack for even weight distribution and airport navigation.)
